Bombay High Court is located in the Fort Area of South Mumbai. Opened on 14 August, 1862, Bombay High Court is counted among the chartered and the oldest high courts in the country. The current structure of High Court was constructed during 1871-1878.
Bombay High Court was designed by a British engineer, Col. J.A. Fuller. The court building stands as a masterpiece of Gothic styled architecture. Nestled in Mumbai’s Fort area, the High Court offers a wonderful structure, including

Although the name of the city has changed from Bombay to Mumbai, but the name Bombay High Court, as an institution, continued to be the same. The building marks the 133th anniversary this year (1878-2011). The Gothic style architecture is the major attraction of Bombay High Court.
